Private chauffeur in Lyon, from Saint-Exupéry Airport to your hotel

Four entry points with nothing in common: the airport 25 km away, Part-Dieu and its two sides, Perrache, the pedestrianised Presqu’île. Your chauffeur knows where to stop, and waits at the right door.

At a glance. A private chauffeur in Lyon is judged on two moments: the minute you push through the arrivals hall doors and see your name on a sign, and the moment the car pulls away without you having to negotiate anything.

  • A local team in Lyon: chauffeurs and vehicles based locally, who know the Presqu’île access points, both sides of Part-Dieu and the hotel entrances.
  • Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS), 25 km from the centre: welcome in the Terminal 1 hall, flight tracked in real time. Since 1 April 2026, all flights use T1.
  • Part-Dieu and Perrache stations, hotels, Confluence: the same service, at the door.
  • Geneva, Annecy, ski resorts: journeys we make regularly, on quote.
  • The price is in the app, which prices each leg separately. For a complete trip, a return or a chauffeur by the day, quote on request.
  • Neither Fast Track nor porter is included. We’d rather say so here than have you find out on arrival.

Your journeys in Lyon: airport, stations, hotels and Confluence

Lyon has four entry points with nothing in common. A chauffeur who knows one doesn’t necessarily know the other three, and that is often where a transfer differs from a simple car ride.

Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS)

The airport is 25 km from the city centre, in Colombier-Saugnieu (Lyon Airport). Since 1 April 2026, Terminal 2 has been closed and all flights operate from Terminal 1 (Lyon Airport): no more “which terminal?”. The TGV station, designed by Santiago Calatrava, is built into the airport and linked by a footbridge.

Part-Dieu and Perrache stations

Part-Dieu is France’s busiest station outside the Paris region, with around 135,000 users and 550 trains a day (SPL Lyon Part-Dieu). Béraudier side (west): car park P1 via the Vivier-Merle tunnel, 15 minutes free; Villette side (east): car park P2, entrance at 38 rue de la Villette. At Perrache, drop-off at the car park at 37 cours de Verdun-Récamier (LPA).

Presqu’île hotels

Between the Rhône and the Saône, the Presqu’île holds most business hotels: Bellecour, Cordeliers, Terreaux. Several streets are pedestrianised along whole stretches: the car drops you at the right corner, the one that avoids crossing a square with two suitcases. We set this point when you book.

Confluence

South of Perrache: wide avenues, the Musée des Confluences, recent hotels and vehicle access specific to each development. One-way streets change name from block to block. Give us the exact address: we’ll handle the rest.

Transfers from Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport

Twenty-five kilometres between the arrivals hall and Bellecour: far enough for an improvised trip to cost time, close enough to think it will be simple. Official taxis wait outside Terminal 1, and the airport states that it takes no online bookings (Lyon Airport).

  • 1. The flight is tracked. Early, late or diverted: the chauffeur adjusts to the actual landing time.
  • 2. The welcome takes place in the Terminal 1 arrivals hall, name sign in hand, after baggage reclaim.
  • 3. The chauffeur helps with your bags to the vehicle, then loads the boot.
  • 4. The car is already in position in the short-stay zone.
  • 5. Drop-off is at the exact address: hotel, residence, office, or an agreed point if the address is pedestrianised.

Waiting conditions, time included in the price and how any overrun is handled, are written in your quote. You know them before you board.

Lyon for business: Cité Internationale, Eurexpo, Part-Dieu

Lyon isn’t a tourist city that also hosts congresses. It’s the other way round. Three hubs shape the business calendar, each with its own logistics.

Cité Internationale

In the 6th arrondissement, between the Rhône and the Parc de la Tête d’Or. The Congress Centre offers 24,000 m² of modular space and three auditoriums of 300, 900 and 3,000 seats (Tourist Office). A plenary ends at 6:30 pm and 400 people look for a car at the same time.

Eurexpo

In Chassieu, beyond the ring road: 140,000 m² under cover, 7 halls, on 110 hectares (GL events). On show days, access changes and yesterday’s pick-up point is not today’s.

Part-Dieu district

The station, the To Lyon tower, regional headquarters, hotels five minutes’ walk away: this is where back-to-back meeting days happen.

What a private chauffeur changes

A pick-up point set in advance and shared with your assistant, a number that answers, and for a delegation, several vehicles coordinated on the same flight or dinner, with a single contact.

Lyon to Geneva, Annecy and the ski resorts

Three directions come up all year, for three different kinds of client.

Geneva and its airport

A42 then A40 via Bourg-en-Bresse and Bellegarde, then A41 to Geneva. The catch: Geneva Airport has a French sector on the Ferney-Voltaire side, reached by the customs road (Geneva Airport). Give us your flight number and actual arrival point: we position the vehicle on the right side of customs.

Annecy

Via the A43 towards Chambéry, then the A41. Pedestrianised old town, quays, lakeside hotels: drop-off is as close as possible. In summer, lakeside traffic is what it is: you won’t be driving it.

The ski resorts

Courchevel, Méribel, Val Thorens, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val d’Isère, Tignes, Chamonix, Megève, La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, L’Alpe d’Huez, Les Deux Alpes. No journey times here: a Saturday in February and a Tuesday in April are not the same trip.

Two points

We are not partners of any resort: we drop you at your residence, hotel or chalet. Skis, snowboards and boots must be mentioned when booking: a suitable boot, a van, or several vehicles for a large group.

Name-sign welcome (meet and greet)

You don’t look for anyone: we look for you.

  • Sign with the client’s name, spelling checked at booking.
  • Fixed position: Terminal 1 arrivals hall, after baggage reclaim, before the exit doors.
  • Help with luggage to the vehicle, then loading into the boot.
  • Direct contact: the chauffeur’s number and meeting point are sent to you before you arrive.
  • Also at the station: on the platform at Part-Dieu or Perrache, or at the agreed forecourt.
  • Groups and delegations: several vehicles coordinated on the same flight, a single point of contact.

What is not included: Fast Track and porter. If you need extra help, mention it when booking: we’ll tell you what is genuinely possible.

Chauffeur by the day

A transfer links two points. A chauffeur by the day doesn’t: the chauffeur and vehicle stay with you, and the itinerary is decided as you go.

  • A day of meetings. Cité Internationale in the morning, Part-Dieu at noon, lunch at Bellecour, back to the hotel late afternoon.
  • A trade show. Eurexpo over two or three days, with changing schedules: you leave when the meeting ends.
  • A day out. The Beaujolais or Côte-Rôtie vineyards, a stop in Pérouges, a day in Annecy.

The day is priced on quote, with the itinerary, hours and vehicle. The confirmed quote is the price.

Vehicles

The exact vehicle is confirmed when you book. What you can expect:

ConfigurationFor whomWhat matters
Saloon1 to 3 passengersTwo to three large suitcases in the boot, quiet cabin, air conditioning
VanFamilies, groups, delegations, skiersLuggage space, easy access, child seats and boosters on request
First classVIP clients, executivesTop-of-the-range vehicle, discreet chauffeur, by-the-day service available

Tell us when booking about anything out of the ordinary: pushchairs, skis and snowboards, golf clubs, instruments, wheelchair, trade-show samples.

How to book

  • 1. Open the app and enter your pick-up point: LYS airport (with your flight number), Part-Dieu, Perrache or an address.
  • 2. Enter the destination, date, time, number of passengers and bags.
  • 3. The price appears for that leg. For a complete trip, a return or a chauffeur by the day, request a quote.
  • 4. Confirm: your booking is confirmed, and the meeting point and chauffeur’s contact are sent to you.
  • 5. On the day, there’s nothing to chase: the flight is tracked and the chauffeur adjusts.

In France, a VTC (private hire vehicle) cannot pick up passengers on the street: prior booking is mandatory and hailing is prohibited (French Ministry of Ecological Transition). Book as soon as your ticket is bought, especially for morning arrivals and trade-show periods.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a private chauffeur in Lyon cost?

The price depends on the exact route, vehicle, number of passengers and bags, time and day. The app shows the price for that leg. For a complete trip, a return, several stops or a chauffeur by the day, request a quote: it covers each leg and the options, and you receive it before confirming. No surprise extras on the day.

Where will my chauffeur meet me at Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport?

In the Terminal 1 arrivals hall, after baggage reclaim and before the exit doors, with a sign bearing your name. The exact point and the chauffeur’s number are sent to you before you arrive.

Is Terminal 2 still in use?

No. Since 1 April 2026, Terminal 2 has been closed for works and all flights, arrivals and departures, operate from Terminal 1. Drop-offs and pick-ups use the T1A and T1B short-stay zones.

VTC or private chauffeur in Lyon: what’s the difference?

In regulatory terms, none: a VTC is a chauffeur-driven private hire vehicle that can only pick up passengers with prior booking. The difference lies in the service: dedicated vehicle and chauffeur, name-sign welcome, flight tracking, a local team and a single contact.

Do you do Lyon–Geneva, Lyon–Annecy and ski resort transfers?

Yes, as well as Geneva Airport, Chambéry, Grenoble and the resorts of Savoie, Haute-Savoie and Isère. These trips are priced on quote, depending on destination, season, vehicle and equipment. We are not partners of any resort: drop-off is at your accommodation.

Can I be picked up at Part-Dieu or Perrache station?

Yes. At Part-Dieu, at car park P1 on the Béraudier side (via the Vivier-Merle tunnel) or P2 on the Villette side, depending on time and works. At Perrache, at the car park at 37 cours de Verdun-Récamier. We agree the exact point when you book, and the chauffeur can also meet you on the platform.

How do you carry skis and bulky luggage?

Tell us when booking. Depending on the number of pairs and suitcases, we send a saloon with a suitable boot, a van or several vehicles. Child seats and boosters on request.

Are Fast Track and porter included?

No, neither. Tell us when booking what help you need with luggage: we’ll tell you what is genuinely possible.

Can I book a private chauffeur for the day?

Yes: the chauffeur and vehicle stay with you and the itinerary adapts. It is priced on quote, with the hours and planned programme.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track the flight in real time and the chauffeur adjusts the pick-up time. Waiting conditions, time included in the price and how any overrun is handled, are written in your quote.
