Private chauffeur in Cannes, from Nice Airport to the Croisette
Cannes has no airport with scheduled flights, and the Croisette has no parking. Between landing in Nice and the door of your hotel, or the steps of the Palais des Festivals, there is a journey nobody wants to manage with two suitcases and a trade-show badge.

- Name-sign welcome at Nice Airport
- Palais des Festivals, Croisette, villas
- Trade shows: MIPIM, Festival, Cannes Lions, MIPCOM
At a glance
- Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE), Terminals 1 and 2: welcome in the arrivals hall, sign with your name, flight tracked in real time.
- Cannes station, 1 rue Jean Jaurès: pick-up on the platform by your train or on the forecourt.
- Croisette, Californie, La Croix-des-Gardes, Palm Beach: drop-off at the exact entrance, even when the street is closed to traffic.
- A local team in Cannes: chauffeurs and vehicles based locally, who know the Palais access points and hotel entrances.
- Price in the app, leg by leg. Complete trip, return, several stops or chauffeur by the day: quote on request.
- Fast Track and porter not included. We’d rather say so here than have you find out on arrival.
The rest of this page follows the real order of a trip: where you arrive, how the welcome works, what changes on trade-show days, where we take you next, then how to book.
Your journeys in Cannes: airport, station, Croisette and hills
Cannes is compact. From the Palais to the tip of the Croisette, you can walk. But the railway cuts the town in two, the hills stretch distances, and the time of year changes everything: in May or March, the Croisette is no longer an avenue, it’s a security perimeter.
Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE)
The airport is under 30 km from the Croisette, as the Palais des Festivals points out (access to the Palais). Two routes: the A8 to exit 43 Cannes La Bocca or 42 Cannes-centre, or the coast road, the D6098. Your terminal depends on your airline, not your destination: give us your flight number and we position the vehicle in the right place.
Cannes station
At 1 rue Jean Jaurès, right in the centre, six minutes’ walk from the Palais. TGV Inoui, Ouigo and night trains serve the town; ZOU! regional trains run to Menton every fifteen minutes (Gares & Connexions). Your chauffeur waits on the platform or on the forecourt.
Croisette hotels
The Palais stands at the start of the Croisette. To the east are the Martinez, the Majestic, the Carlton and their neighbours, and they don’t all share the same entrance: some drop-offs are on the Croisette, others via a side street or courtyard. During the Festival and major trade shows, the drop-off point is set when you book, with a number to call for pick-up.
Californie and La Croix-des-Gardes
La Californie climbs east behind the Palm Beach: villas and steep lanes where a van struggles. La Croix-des-Gardes overlooks the bay to the south-west: addresses behind gates, sometimes at the end of a private road. Give us the exact address and access instructions: the chauffeur knows where the car can stop.
Transfers from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport
Cannes has no airport with scheduled flights, which is why the Nice Airport to Cannes transfer is so common. Cannes-Mandelieu (CEQ) is France’s second business aviation airport after Paris-Le Bourget (Côte d’Azur Airports), but no scheduled flights land there. On a commercial flight, you land in Nice.
- 1. The flight is tracked. Early, late or diverted: the chauffeur adjusts to the actual landing time.
- 2. The welcome takes place in the arrivals hall, name sign in hand, after baggage reclaim.
- 3. The car is already in position. No “I’m in the car park, I’ll be up in ten minutes”.
- 4. Drop-off is at the exact address: hotel, residence, villa, Palais, office. If the address is in a closed zone, we set the nearest accessible point when you book.
- 5. Waiting time is written in the quote: time included and how any overrun is handled.
A benchmark: official airport taxis are taken at door A1 at Terminal 1 and door A3 at Terminal 2, and only there (Nice Airport). Your chauffeur waits for you inside, before the doors.
For a delegation, eight people on the same flight with a week of trade-show luggage, we coordinate several vehicles on one arrival, with a single point of contact.
Trade shows and congresses at the Palais des Festivals
The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès has 924 parking spaces beneath its halls, including 15 for people with reduced mobility and 49 charging points (Palais des Festivals). On a MIPIM day, they are not enough, and the streets around the Palais are no longer quite streets.
Our service at the Palais comes down to three things: a drop-off point set in advance, a chauffeur who knows this year’s barriers, and a number that answers when you leave a meeting ten minutes late. We are not an official partner of the Palais and do not claim to be.
MIPIM, in March
The world’s leading property market: over 20,000 participants, 2,400 exhibitors and more than 80 countries, according to the Palais (MIPIM). Palais in the morning, lunch in town, a meeting at a villa in La Californie, dinner on a beach: this is where a chauffeur by the day makes the difference.
Cannes Film Festival, in May
Around twelve days when the town changes gear, with a closed-off Croisette where every metre of pavement counts. Drop-off points move from one edition to the next.
Cannes Lions, in June
Agencies, advertisers and whole delegations: many Palais–hotel–beach trips in a single day, often with several vehicles. One contact for the person running the delegation, and pick-ups on call.
MIPCOM, in October
The global TV and content market: the Palais by day, beach cocktails in the evening, long days. The chauffeur is there, at the agreed spot.
The Palais also hosts IPEM, WAICF, Canneseries and, in September, the Cannes Yachting Festival, on the Vieux-Port and Port Pierre Canto. Dates change from year to year: the Palais professional calendar publishes them, and we plan around it.
Cannes to Monaco, Nice and Saint-Tropez
Monaco, around 60 km
Via the A8. Monte-Carlo, Fontvieille, Port Hercule and Larvotto all have different access points. On Grand Prix or gala days several streets close: the drop-off point is planned ahead.
Nice, around 40 km
Back to the airport, a meeting in the centre, drop-off on the Promenade des Anglais or at Port Lympia. Your return is booked at the same time as the outward trip. See also our private chauffeur in Nice.
Saint-Tropez, around 80 km
A8 to the Le Muy exit, then the D25 towards Sainte-Maxime and the peninsula. In July and August the road is what it is: you won’t have to drive it.
And beyond
Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Mougins, Valbonne, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Grasse, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille on quote.
Name-sign welcome (meet and greet)
You don’t look for anyone: we look for you.
- Sign with the client’s name, spelling checked at booking.
- Fixed position: arrivals hall, after baggage reclaim, before the exit doors.
- Help with luggage to the vehicle, then loading into the boot.
- Direct contact: the chauffeur’s number and the meeting point are sent to you before you arrive.
- Also at the station: on the platform in Cannes, or on the forecourt on rue Jean Jaurès.
- Also for business aviation: at Cannes-Mandelieu, as you leave your private flight, with the handling agent named at booking.
What is not included: Fast Track and porter. If you need extra help, mention it when booking: we’ll tell you what is genuinely possible.
Chauffeur by the day
A transfer takes you from A to B. A chauffeur by the day doesn’t: the chauffeur and vehicle stay with you, and the itinerary is decided as you go.
- A trade-show day. Drop-off at the Palais at 8:30, a trip back to the hotel for samples, lunch at the other end of the Croisette, pick-up at 7 pm then dinner in La Californie.
- A day of meetings. Head office in Monaco in the morning, a business lunch in Cannes, back to Nice in the late afternoon.
- A leisure day. Forville market, a private beach, lunch in Antibes, back to the villa.
The day is priced on quote, with the itinerary, hours and vehicle. The confirmed quote is the price.
Vehicles
The exact vehicle is confirmed when you book. What you can expect:
| Configuration | For whom | What matters |
|---|---|---|
| Saloon | 1 to 3 passengers | Two to three large suitcases in the boot, quiet cabin, air conditioning |
| Van | Families, groups, delegations | Luggage space, easy access, child seats and boosters on request |
| First class | VIP clients, executives, exhibitors | Top-of-the-range vehicle, discreet chauffeur, by-the-day service available |
Tell us when booking about anything out of the ordinary: pushchairs, golf clubs, stand equipment, roll-ups, samples, instruments, wheelchair. An exhibitor with four boxes of display material doesn’t need the same vehicle as a couple with two suitcases.
How to book
- 1. Open the app and enter your pick-up point: NCE airport with your flight number, Cannes station, Cannes-Mandelieu or an address in Cannes.
- 2. Enter the destination, date, time, number of passengers and bags.
- 3. The price appears for that leg. For a complete trip (return, several stops, by the day), request a quote.
- 4. Confirm: your booking is confirmed, and the meeting point and chauffeur’s contact are sent to you.
- 5. On the day, there’s nothing to chase: the flight is tracked and the chauffeur adjusts.
Tell us the name of your trade show if you’re coming for an event: it helps us time pick-ups to your actual schedule. Book as soon as your ticket or badge is confirmed: early slots and congress weeks go first.
In France, a VTC (private hire vehicle) cannot pick up passengers on the street: prior booking is mandatory and hailing is prohibited (French Ministry of Ecological Transition). Here, we wait for you because you booked.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a private chauffeur in Cannes cost?
The price depends on the destination address, vehicle, number of passengers and bags, time and day. The app shows the price for that leg. For a complete trip (return, several stops, chauffeur by the day), request a quote: it covers each leg and the options, and you receive it before confirming. No surprise extras on the day.
Does Cannes have an airport?
Cannes-Mandelieu (CEQ) handles business and leisure aviation, but no scheduled flights. On a commercial flight, you land at Nice Côte d’Azur, under 30 km from the Croisette.
Where will my chauffeur meet me at Nice Airport?
In the arrivals hall of your terminal, after baggage reclaim and before the exit doors, with a sign bearing your name. The exact point and the chauffeur’s contact are sent to you before you arrive. Terminal 1 or Terminal 2: your flight number is all we need to position the vehicle.
Do you provide transfers during the Cannes Film Festival and trade shows?
Yes: MIPIM, the Cannes Film Festival, Cannes Lions, MIPCOM and the other congresses at the Palais. We are not an official partner of these events; we bring knowledge of access routes, authorised drop-off points and hotel entrances when the town is closed off.
How far in advance should I book for a trade show?
As soon as your badge or ticket is confirmed. End-of-day pick-ups and arrivals on the eve of opening fill up first. A last-minute request is still possible.
VTC or private chauffeur in Cannes: what’s the difference?
In regulatory terms, none: a VTC is a chauffeur-driven private hire vehicle that can only pick up passengers with prior booking. The difference lies in the service: dedicated vehicle and chauffeur, name-sign welcome, flight tracking, a single contact.
Do you do Cannes–Monaco, Cannes–Nice and Cannes–Saint-Tropez?
Yes. Monaco via the A8, Nice and its airport, Saint-Tropez via Le Muy and Sainte-Maxime, plus Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Mougins, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Grasse, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille on quote. Your return is booked at the same time as the outward trip.
Can I book a chauffeur by the day for a trade-show day?
Yes. The chauffeur and vehicle stay with you, and the itinerary adapts between the Palais, your hotel and your meetings. It is priced on quote, with the hours and planned itinerary.
Are Fast Track and porter included?
No, neither. Tell us when booking what help you need with luggage: we’ll tell you what is genuinely possible.
How does pick-up at Cannes station work?
Your chauffeur waits on the platform by your train or on the forecourt on rue Jean Jaurès. The station is six minutes’ walk from the Palais: with trade-show luggage, the car is more comfortable.
How far in advance should I book a transfer from Nice?
As soon as you have your plane ticket. Morning landings and congress, trade-show and summer periods fill up first. A last-minute booking is still possible if a vehicle is available.
